Chili con carne recipe
With fiery tastes against the cold
Now we present this heartwarming, hot, spicy dish to our readers that brings Mexico to your table. If you have not yet tried to prepare the famous Mexican chilli beans, this plate definitely is a must!

Chili con carne
Ingredients for 6 portions
- 50 dkg minced beef
- 40 dkg red beans
- 25 dkg peeled tomatoes
- 25 dkg corn
- 1 large white onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 hot green pepper
- 1 spoon of chilli powder
- salt, pepper, bay leaf
Preparation
Soak the beans the previous night, drain the water, then cook it in abundant water and some bay leaves until half cooked. Peel onion and garlic, chop the onion in tiny pieces. Clean and cut the green pepper. Fry chopped onion in oil,then add minced beef and cook it until pale coloured. Add crushed garlic, green pepper, chilli, salt and pepper. Simmer under cover until half tender. Drain the beans and add them to the beef. Use cooking water of beans to give it some sauce. Dice tomatoes, wash the corn and add them to the beans and beef. Cook them half covered for 10-15 minutes. Serve with tacos or fresh bread.
